Proprioceptive Orthotics

By setting trigger points at specific neurological areas of the foot, information is transferred to the central nervous system. These stimuli are processed and translated into muscle movement. Therefore, your foot positioning, your posture and your gait may be influenced.

Proprioceptive orthotics can accurately control specific body movement through modifying the intensity and level of muscular activity while improving coordination and joint stability at the same time. We refer to theory and publications of Dr. med. R.J. Bourdiol and J.-C. Heili, both pioneers in neuromuscular orthotics.
